Just like how you scale your POs to meet the MOQ and Pack size rules, you can scale your POs to meet the Pallet and Container sizes.
It's a prerequisite to set up the container and pallet sizes, along with the dimensions and the gross weight of the carton for the SKUs a supplier ships.
Where to set up Pallet and Container sizes?
Settings -> Suppliers & POs -> Purchase Orders tab
To add a new container or pallet size, click "Add size," select the dimensions of the pallet or the container, and save.
Where to set up carton dimensions and gross weight?
- Settings -> Suppliers & POs -> Suppliers, and click any supplier
- Click SKUs suppliers, and there you will find the "Carton dims. (WxDxH)" column in the SKUs table
- Clicking a cell in that column will let you enter the dimensions and weight of the carton box for that SKU.
On a draft PO, you can see the "Scale to container" option in the bulk actions bar:
It will help you scale the selected SKUs' packs proportionally to fit a standard shipping container. More space will be allocated to higher-demand SKUs by default.
You can scale up or down packs to fit the container.
You can do a final review of the container fill and then approve:
