User Permissions

Control exactly what every team member can see and do

Written by Amar Sujith

Prediko's User Permissions feature lets you create custom permission profiles and assign them to your team members. Instead of giving everyone full access, you can decide whether users can edit, view, or block access to every area of Prediko.

This makes it easy to:

  • Give buyers access to purchasing only

  • Allow warehouse teams to receive inventory without editing forecasts

  • Let finance teams access reports without modifying inventory

  • Give executives view-only access across the workspace

  • Protect sensitive settings like billing, integrations, developer keys, and user management

Who can manage permissions?

Only users with User Management & Permissions access can:

  • Create permission profiles

  • Edit existing profiles

  • Delete profiles

  • Assign permission profiles to users

Managing Permission Profiles

Navigate to: Settings → Users & Permissions → Manage Permissions

Here you'll find all permission profiles in your workspace.

Default profiles include:

  • Admin

  • Member

  • Merchandiser

  • Operations

  • Finance

  • Viewer

You can also create completely custom profiles.

Creating a Permission Profile

  1. Open Manage Permissions

  2. Click Create profile

  3. Enter a profile name

  4. Configure access for every permission

  5. Click Save

Your new profile can now be assigned to users.

Editing a Permission Profile

  1. Open Manage Permissions

  2. Select a profile from the left sidebar

  3. Update any permissions

  4. Click Save

All users assigned to this profile will immediately inherit the updated permissions.

Removing a Permission Profile

If a profile is no longer needed:

  1. Open the profile

  2. Click Remove Profile

  3. Confirm deletion

Profiles currently assigned to users may need to be reassigned before deletion.

Permission Levels

Every permission can be configured using one of three access levels.

  • Every user can only have one permission profile assigned at a time.

  • Updating a permission profile affects all users assigned to it.

  • Edit always includes View access.

  • Block completely removes access to the feature.

  • Use custom permission profiles to tailor access for different teams and workflows, helping keep your workspace secure while ensuring each user has the tools they need.
