Refreshing your plan regularly

If you using the "Smart Model" with "Type of Refresh" = Manual, make sure that you use the Re-Plan button and refresh your plan for all your SKUs regularly!

How to Refresh Plan for all SKUs?

  1. Check that your Total Sales Plan for 12 Months is accurate. Select the Edit button if not and update.

  2. Go to Buying Table

  3. Select All SKUs (be aware that all SKUs may be across more than one page - select an increased 'rows per page' if this is the case).

  4. In the bulk option choose "Re-Plan"

  5. Confirm πŸŽ‰

What is "Re-Plan"?

When you "Re-Plan" you are updating the Plan based on the most recent, up-to-date sales info, given your growth expectations.

Essentially you are telling the algorithm "If I was creating a Plan today, given my Total Sales expectations, what would be the Plan?"

Why it's important to "Re-Plan" all SKUs regualarly?

When you "Re-Plan" all SKUs you are refreshing the distribution of your Total Sales Plan across all SKUs based on the most recent trends. E.g. if one SKU started selling more in recent weeks, this trend will be picked up and a bigger proportion of your overall Plan will be distributed to it.

You can of course keep the Plan static for SKUs by not selecting them during the update, but remember to then Edit the Plan manually.

It is important to keep your Plan as fresh as possible to keep the most accurate purchasing recommendations and so we'd advise to re-plan on at least a monthly basis.

Why Prediko doesn't refresh automatically?

Prediko does not refresh automatically when you set your "Type of refresh" as Off as any automatic refreshes may inadvertently override details of your Plan you wouldn't want to change.

Only you can Edit your Plan as there may be a specific reason why you want to keep it higher/lower for upcoming months (marketing; closures etc).

How to know when I last refreshed the Plan?

You can see when you last Manually Updated Plan or used the "Re-Plan" button on your Demand Planning section.

Note that this would pick up any updates, even if you only updated one SKU.
