Why create POs in Prediko

Shopify's API does not allow third-party applications, including Prediko, to access Purchase Orders created directly in Shopify. This restriction prevents Prediko from pulling in-transit or incoming inventory data from Shopify's native Purchase Orders.

As a result, Purchase Orders created in Shopify are not included in Prediko's "In Transit" calculations or buying recommendations. This limitation affects inventory planning and requires users to rely on Prediko's internal system for accurate data.

It is important to store Purchase Orders on Prediko to ensure accurate inventory tracking and reliable buying recommendations. Using Prediko's system helps overcome Shopify's limitations and provides a more professional and efficient solution.

Furthermore, Shopify orders lack vital features:

  • Export Options: Generate POs in PDF or Excel formats for easy sharing.

  • Supplier Communication: Email POs directly to suppliers.

  • Minimum Order Quantity (MOQ) Settings: Set and manage MOQs for better order planning.

  • Order Recommendations: Receive suggestions on what to order based on inventory needs.

  • Location-Based Splits: Automatically split recommendations by location for optimized inventory distribution.

  • Tracking Incoming Inventory: Quantities from POs created in Prediko are tracked as "In Transit" stock, ensuring effective inventory planning.
