Stock Health Explained
๐กStock Health = Status driven by your current Days Left at delivery and your Settings for the Recommended Days Left.
E.g. if you set your settings to 'From' [20] 'To' [50] days - by default these will be the Stock Health statuses depending on Days Left that you currently have for SKU.
To update:
1) Settings > Days of Stock Cover
2) Update Safety Stock and Stock Cover accordingly.
3) The 'Notify to Buy Stock' and the 'Order Frequency' will automatically update when you change the safety and stock cover.
Overall there are 4 stock health statuses:
Excess - if you hold at delivery more 'days left' than the maximum of your range
Healthy - if you hold at delivery 'days left' between you 'from' and 'to' range
At Risk - if you hold at delivery less than the minimum of your range but you are not yet Stock Out
Stock Out - if you currently have 0 units in stock
โ๏ธStock Health statuses take into account the position of stock at delivery, meaning that if you have outstanding orders - these will be counted for the Days Left.
๐ค E.g. See here two examples:
In A there are 10 "Units in Transit" with delivery tomorrow, ensuring that "Days Left" on delivery >20 days.
Whilst B has no orders outstanding and with a "Lead Time" of 5 days even if they order Stock today their "Days Left" will slip < 20 days but there is still enough time to order to ensure that it doesn't hit 0 days for status to dip to "At risk".
(note: assuming that demand is at 1 unit per day, so 1 day on hand = 1 unit)
| Version A | Version B |
Stock Cover | 20 - 50 | 20 - 50 |
SKU1 Days Left | 21 | 21 |
SKU1 Lead Time | 5 | 5 |
SKU1 Units in Transit | 10 | - |
SKU1 Delivery date | Tomorrow | NA |
Stock Health | Healthy | At risk |
๐ Stock Health statuses on SKU level are shown on your "Catalogue" and "Buy Now" page
