What is multi-location in Shopify
As a Shopify brand, you can easily manage inventory from multiple locations in one account.
This feature allows you to control and optimise your inventory levels across different sales channels such as retail stores, Locations, pop-ups, and drop-shippers. You can also see location-specific stock levels, making accurate inventory tracking and control a breeze.
Depending on your Shopify plan, you can manage a certain number of locations. Setting up Location and fulfillment locations in Shopify is easy to do, simply follow these instructions.
The drag-and-drop priority feature makes it simple to specify where you want your merchandise to come from.
To set up a location, go to:
Settings > Locations in your Shopify dashboard
Click ‘Add location,’ enter the name and address of the location
Check ‘Fulfill online orders from this location if desired
Click ‘Save’.
You can also change the fulfillment priority by clicking ‘Edit fulfillment priority’ and using the drag-and-drop functionality to change the order.
You can also assign values to your locations and change inventory quantities.
To assign values, go to:
Products and select the desired product
Ensure that Shopify is tracking the product’s quantity in the Inventory section
Click on Edit locations
Check the locations that have the product
Click Save.
To change inventory quantities, go to:
The desired product or variant
Click on the quantity for a location in the Available column
Adjust or set the quantity with positive or negative numbers
Click Save.
